In 17 appearances between the Chargers and Ravens in 2025, Gilman registered 90 tackles, nine passes defensed, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
Gilman brings the positional versatility defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo likes, and he projects as a direct replacement for Cook.
According to Pro Football Focus, Cook lined up 55.8% of the time at free safety, 30.1% in the box and 11.9% in the slot. By comparison, Gilman lined up 52.9% at free safety, 30.6% in the box and 10.3% in the slot.
